On this page you will find an overview of various charming villages and
things to do in the nearby area.

The village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle is located about 1 km away and can be reached slightly more quickly on foot via the Voie Verte. This former railway line runs close to the domaine and now serves as a beautiful walking and cycling route.
In the village there are several restaurants, a village shop, and a pharmacy. Nearby, about 9 km away, is the town of Thiviers with various shops, supermarkets, a bank, restaurants, a train station, a tourist information office, and markets.
Large cities to visit include Périgueux, or the slightly further towns of Bergerac and Limoges. Enjoy a tour through the vineyards near Bergerac or visit the brewery in Thiviers.
Swimming is possible at several lakes, the nearest being at Nantheuil just beyond Thiviers, with a lake and beach, playground equipment, picnic areas, and food facilities. Canoeing can be done in Brantôme, often called the Venice of the Périgord, a beautiful place well worth visiting.

Many castles, caves (Villars), and historic buildings and villages can be visited in the immediate area. Horse riding, a monorail tour (a pedal cart on a railway track), visits to farms or a trout pond, and numerous walking and cycling routes — there is plenty to do in the area.
Especially during the summer season, many events are organized and there are numerous markets. At Domaine Lapin qui rit you will also find various flyers and brochures about the region, and the owners will gladly give you tips.
